01 — Lessons

Pick a length. Bring a problem.

Lessons run online, one to one, and they're built around what you're actually stuck on rather than a fixed syllabus. Most people start with a half hour once a week. Players with some theory behind them tend to get more out of the longer sessions, because there's room to play, stop, and take something apart.

30 min $42.50

Weekly, focused. One idea at a time. The usual starting point.

Most useful 45 min $63.75

Room to play something all the way through and still take it apart afterward.

60 min $85.00

For players with theory already in hand who want to go deep on soloing or repertoire.

02 — The teacher

Greg Knudsen

Greg started at nine on his father's 1968 Gibson ES-330 and hasn't really stopped since. He describes playing as a compulsion more than a hobby, and he has a well-documented weakness for loud electric guitars running through vintage tube amplifiers.

He founded the blues rock band Melted Horses in 2008, who released the live EP Live Burnin' in 2011, and formed the outlaw country band The Stregs in 2019. He plays the majority of lead in both.

He teaches because he can explain the thing most players only ever learn to feel — where the notes are going, and why some of them land.

03 — Watch

Lessons, filmed as they happen.

Real lessons with real students, lightly cut. Nothing rehearsed and nothing edited out because it went badly — the fixing is the useful part.

04 — On the road

Out playing.

The lessons come out of gigs, not a textbook. Here's some of that.
